Payment by results seminar 2012 Leeds

How will Payment by Results work for you?

Date: 20 March 2012 Location: Leeds

With Payment by Results becoming a reality within children’s services, these seminars will give you an opportunity to hear from those at the cutting edge of delivering and piloting this policy.

Payment by Results looks to change the way in which services are commissioned and paid for – which will affect many of those delivering children’s services in the future. In these seminars you will hear from those already trialling Payment by Results and have the chance to share their experiences. The seminars will also give a platform to the Department for Education to offer an update on lessons from the pilots so far and the latest policy thinking.

In a world where every penny counts, it is imperative that money is spent on services that offer the best results for children and families. Payment by Results will offer a way of measuring this but there are real challenges that are still being explored and debated – making these seminars particularly timely.

Participants will consider the implications of Payment by Results for the voluntary sector and will explore the practicalities of delivering in a Payment by Results environment.

Recently confirmed speakers include:

  • Caroline Jones, Payment By Results Policy Lead, Department for Education
  • Lesley Hollinshead, Children and Families Services Manager (Early Intervention and Child Health), Knowsley MBC

The aims of the day will be to:

  • Update delegates on Payment by Results so far
  • Share case studies from local authorities who are trialling Payment by Results
  • Explore the implications and practicalities for potential contractors
  • Provide an opportunity to take part in discussions at a key time for policy making
