Our staff at 4Children go the extra mile for children and families every day, but one is going a bit further!
Sue Deedigan, 4Children’s Cluster Manager for its Wiltshire Children’s Centres, has set off on a trip to the northern highlands of Vietnam for a 10 day trek, to raise money for vulnerable children aged 0-5, through 4Children’s Wiltshire services.
Starting from Hanoi, through October Sue will be walking up to 18 kilometres a day, in tough conditions. Sue will be updating us on her progress where she can with photos and blog posts. Organised by Global Adventure Challenges, all proceeds raised will go toward helping children, with the possibility of being ring-fenced for use by selected services in Wiltshire.
Sue Deedigan said:
It is fantastic to be able to contribute to 4Children’s great work in Wiltshire and hopefully to obtain extra funding for incredibly valuable services, helping vulnerable children in my local area. The trek is a massive undertaking for me, but I am keen to take on this challenge, and it is great to be so supported by 4Children and my colleagues."
4Children is very pleased to support her endeavour – please donate via Sue’s Just Giving page, giving what you can to a worthy cause and an impressive undertaking.

About 4Children
4Children is the national charity all about children and families. We have spearheaded a joined-up, integrated approach to children’s services and work with a wide range of partners around the country to ensure children and families have access to the services and support they need in their communities.
We run Sure Start Children’s Centres as well as family and youth services across Britain.
As the Government’s strategic partner for early years and childcare we have a crucial role in co-producing policy with the Department of Education and representing the sector’s views and experiences. Our national campaigns, including our Give Me Strength campaign, change policy and practice and put the needs of children and families on the political and policy agenda.
