Government cuts widen child poverty gap

The Campaign to End Child Poverty’s annual report shows a widening gulf between youngsters in rural Tory and Lib Dem constituencies.

Nurseries and childminders face penalties ‘if children don’t feel loved’

Childminders will be judged on their ‘outcomes’ for children, the quality of provision in terms of supporting learning and development and helping children to feel emotionally secure; leadership and management and overall effectiveness.
