A voice for all children
Results of 4Children's national annual survey are launched each year during the 4Children Shout Out campaign week in June. The survey gives a voice to children, establishes their likes and dislikes and monitors their hopes, dreams and aspirations.
My Shout Out! - Buzz Survey 2007 Disillusioned, disconnected...not today’s children says the My Shout Out! survey
4Children’s annual national survey asked over 1,000 children age 4-14 across England who they believe has changed the world for the better, to whom they turn to for inspiration to make the world better, and what concerns them.
Despite much publicity about the 21st Century generation of disillusioned, disconnected children – most children want to change the world and believe that politicians and mum and dad are the people to do it!
Childhood Today - Buzz Survey 2006 The results if this survey of 4-14 year olds showed that children have strong views about what they want for their childhood. And whilst our world is changing, our children are adapting in a very practical way – embracing new technology but still wanting a simple, relaxed, fun childhood. In direct contrast to the bad press we are so familiar with, this survey shows that children take respect for themselves and others seriously.
Children want a simple childhood: playing outside with friends, no stress, less advertising and saving up their pocket money. However, ipods and gameboys are still high priorities for children illustrated by the fact they know how much they cost but don’t know the price of a pint of milk or a loaf of bread.
Buzz Survey 2005 A research report by 4Children focused on how children are leading the way to making the world a better place. Thousands of children from four to 14 years old in out of school clubs across the country took part in 4Children’s My Ideal World Survey, supported by Cartoon Network. The survey clearly shows that children lead the way in wanting to make the world a better place to live.
All I Want Survey 2004 This survey shows the results of a nationwide survey concerning children’s hopes and dreams for the future. It highlights how children, aged four to 16, from a variety of backgrounds in the UK, feel about their future and what their ambitions are. The views of around 7,000 children and young people form the basis of the study.
Buzz Survey 2003 This report highlights the activities, likes and dislikes and hopes and aspirations of young people today. This research report publishes the findings of 4Children’s Buzz Survey 2003, which was a survey of children in out-of -school clubs throughout the country, taken in May 2003.
