4Children marches to No. 11 Downing Street to call for an end to UK child poverty
4Children led young people to the Treasury on 7 November 2007 to visit Chancellor Alistair Darling and present their demands for Government to step up its efforts to meet its target to end child poverty by 2020.
The rally marks 4Children’s fourth visit to Downing Street since March this year to lobby senior politicians on behalf of children, young people and families.
The rally, organised by Save the Children and the End Child Poverty Coalition, was held to support the End Child Poverty’s Month of Action and calls for a £4bn investment to halve child poverty in the UK by 2010.
