Integrated Practice
Supporting practitioners to develop their integrated working
Integrated Practice is a two-unit training programme designed to support practitioners working in early years and childcare.
The programme has been designed for delivery in a multi-agency context for a range of early years and childcare practitioners already working in a variety of settings such as:
— Childminders/home-based carers — Pre-schools and playgroups — Nurseries — Crèches — Children’s centres — Out of school settings (e.g. extended schools/services)
Local authorities and employers can commission Integrated Practice through 4Children and receive tailored packages of delivery that meet the needs of practitioners in their region or setting. The programme will be delivered by trainers who have demonstrated their competence as part of the Integrated Practice 4Children Trainer approval scheme.
Integrated Practice is assessed at Level 3. It is assigned 2 credits on the Qualifications and Credit Framework test and trial as part of the employer engagement project led by the awarding body Edexcel.
