Childcare providers have a crucial role to play in supporting the development and delivery of extended services in and around rural schools. This issue highlights practical approaches and solutions to some common barriers faced by schools and providers in rural areas, including a dispersed and smaller user population and transport difficulties which can make it hard for childcare to be sustainable.
