“I am encouraged by the decision to postpone increases in Ofsted registration fees for children’s settings. These proposals were causing significant concern to many providers already facing sustainability problems due to rising interest rates and inflationary pressures.

"High quality child care doesn’t come cheap and providers are already struggling to fund staff training and qualifications as well as core operational costs. This extra time will be welcomed by providers and families for whom trusted childcare settings provide an invaluable service.”
