Primary Curriculum Review Response
In response to Jim Rose Independent Review of the Primary Curriculum
In response to the Jim Rose Independent Review of the Primary Curriculum, published 30 April 2009, Anne Longfield OBE, Chief Executive of 4Children said: “I am pleased to see that the review’s recommendations continue to support the Early Years Foundation Stage as the right approach. Recommendations about smoothing the transition between early years education and the primary curriculum have real potential to benefit children and are sure to be popular with parents and professionals. The emphasis must now be to build on the commitment to deliver a personalised learning approach which will be crucial in ensuring that our children get the best possible support to help them achieve their true potential.”
