New 4Children membership benefits to support professional and workforce development - in partnership with SkillsActive.
4Children are delighted to bring you information about a valuable new benefit for members designed to support professional development and wider workforce development. The new scheme has been developed with the leading workforoce agency for all those involved in delivering children’s play opportunities - SkillsActive.
Launched on 24 November 2005, all 4Children provider and individual members will have free access to:
Active Alert ezine
This is a monthly e-mail update containing useful information on careers in the playwork industry, news on occupational standards, research, training programmes, and details of forthcoming events. Every quarter, as part of the ezine, members will also receive regional updates providing information sepcifically tailored to their area of the country. Contained in the e-mail will also be contact details of a SkillsActive regional representative for the playwork sector who can be contacted for further information. These contacts cover all nine regions of the country.

4Children members will receive a free copy of this quarterly magazine, that will contain all the latest news from the sector, alongside good practice examples and spotlights on particular professions.
Online workforce fundrasing database
An online workforce database will be available in early 2006. Additionally a quarterly funding newsletter will be available, through which 4Children members will be able to freely access a list of funding organisation and their contact details, plus the types and amounts of funding available.
4Children provider and individual members will access these new benefits by e-mail and should therefore provide an up-to-date e-mail address to membership@4Children.org.uk or by phoning 0207 512 2100 to ensure they receive these new benefits.
