4Children and Skillsactive announce new partnership deal for 4Children members

4Children, the national children’s charity and SkillsActive, the Sector Skills council for playwork and active leisure are pleased to announce the launch of a new partnership. The two organisations hope to support after school workers develop their careers by providing information, resources and advice.

Launched today at 4Children’s annual general meeting, the partnership signifies the strategic exchange of information between the two organisations. 4Children’s members will receive information on developments in skills training and qualifications, workforce policy and legislation, funding opportunities, and other workforce related issues affecting the sector. This adds to the many benefits already available to members, including regular newsletters, the members’ only website, insurance and events and product discounts.

Welcoming the agreement, Anne Longfield, Chief Executive of 4Children said:

“I am delighted to be announcing this partnership today. 4Children is constantly working to develop new ways to support our new and established members. By providing more information and resources to help members keep up-to-date with changes in the workforce and aware of training opportunities we hope to help childcare workers and providers achieve excellent standards that will benefit children and their parents”.

Stephen Studd, SkillsActive’s Chief Executive said:“SkillsActive is delighted to be entering into a partnership with 4Children. We consider the sharing of information to be a hugely important initiative within our sector. We will offer access to up to date information on skills, funding for workforce development and policy and legislation. We are confident that the partnership with 4children will really benefit the playwork and after school childcare sector by developing workforce skills.”
