The 2007 Philip Lawrence Awards Ceremony was held on Tuesday 4 December at the UCL Bloomsbury Theatre in London.

Nine groups of young people who demonstrated outstanding achievements in good citizenship were each awarded a cheque for £1,000 and a memento during the inspiring event.

The Awards Ceremony each year reflects a ton of collaborative hard work. It involves a dance and music performance, speeches and the award giving.

Students from Junior Trinity College of Music and Central School of Ballet joined with school children from Gloucester Primary School, Peckham, to produce and perform an inspirational piece on the theme of ‘Journey to Light’. Along with a performance by the 28-strong steelband from the primary school, three of the children performed in the orchestra and 20 children danced with the ballet students.
