Children & Young People Now
We support The Philip Lawrence Awards because they recognise the achievements made by young people in making a difference in their local communities. Our magazine is read by all those who in their day-to-day work help young people fulfil their potential. The more shining examples of this happening, the more inspiration it provides for everyone. What can young people do to improve their image in the public eye?
Get involved in their communities by doing positive, creative things that allow them to be themselves and feel fulfilled. And encourage their peers to do the same – it can be anything. And then ring up the editor of the local newspaper and ask if they are interested in writing about it. If they aren’t, at least the local community for themselves will see the positive contribution young people can make. Ravi Chandiramani, Editor, Children & Young People Now
