About: Youth2Youth is a national helpline for under 19 year olds in need of emotional support. A team of 54 trained volunteers from diverse backgrounds, aged between 16 and 21, run the service which includes email or online support as well as via telephone. The young volunteers are directly involved in the development of Y2Y, and learn valuable skills including active listening, empathy and dealing with challenging situations.

“The work we do also helps to bring the community together and make people more aware of what they can do to help.”
Polly, Y2Y volunteer
