Nicola Podd – London and the South East Regional Development Manager

Nicola qualified as a youth worker in 1996 and started her career at a residential youth centre in London. She moved on to a local authority where she worked with young people in a number of different projects including information and advice, health provision, youth clubs and detached youthwork.

She also worked with a primary care trust in the SE where she managed and led on the teenage pregnancy strategy and sexual health services for young people.

More recently her work involves more of a strategic approach in developing and designing services for children, young people and families. She has been involved with the implementation of the government’s strategy for extended schools, children's centres and Youth Matters.
