The Sure Start Millmead Children’s Centre has changed the lives of the people it reaches out to. Its childcare training, parental skills and education programmes as well as its all round support has helped to create positive environments within many family homes. It is also the centre of the local area, bringing members of the community together. In the words of one parent “The Centre has given me a life, my self-esteem has been raised and it has truly brought me back to the person I used to be.”
