The Youth Service in Essex aims to provide a wide range of learning opportunities and challenging experiences for young people. In identifying and responding to their needs and through promoting personal and social development, young people are supported in becoming constructively engaged in the life of their community. Groups and services for young people at Carousel include: Just Starting Out: teenage parents support group CHill: young people’s centre Complimentary Education and Alternative Education programmes Duke of Edinburgh’s Award and other formal and non-formal accreditations Torchlight: supporting young people with specific educational needs Youth Action: initiatives such as young people’s forums and volunteering work See details of Carousel’s health support for young people here.
