| Health Support | ||
| A range of health professionals from the Mid Essex Primary Care Trust work in Carousel Children’s Centre as part of the centre’s joined-up approach to supporting all the needs of each child and young person. Carousel Day Nursery: A health professional discusses the needs of the children with staff, and helps with early detection of problems and early intervention to support children in their development. Specialist Development Nursery: The specialist nursery supports Carousel Day Nursery in meeting the individual needs of children who have complex developmental delay. Speech and Language Therapists: Where support is found to be needed, therapists develop an intervention plan and work through this with children and their families. Young parents: A health visitor supports the Just Starting Out group, delivering sessions on weaning, immunisations, childhood illness and any other topics requested. Youth Service: A health professional supports young people at the centre and delivers health sessions once a week.
