Active Clubs

Everything you need to promote physical activity in just one fun pack!

Join in the festival fun!
In order to celebrate the impact the Active Clubs programme has had on youth clubs and other settings, and the achievements of young people who have been using the Active Clubs programme, the BHF will be hosting 6 regional multi-activity festivals (one each in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland and three in England) in spring 2010.

Children and young people will be invited to take part in the festivals to build on the day-to-day and week-to-week activity programmes of the clubs and settings using the Active Club pack.

For more information and to find out how clubs can register to take part, please click here to download the information flyer.

Following the huge success of the Active Club Resource Pack, 4Children in partnership with the British Heart Foundation (BHF) is pleased to provide a further opportunity to access free copies of this valuable resource. The user friendly pack contains:

  • A booklet with valuable tips and ideas for introducing physical activity into out of school clubs
  • 65 A4 illustrated activity cards providing 120 practical activity ideas
  • Physical activity related templates and worksheets
  • A ‘Useful Information’ booklet which summarises key resources, training opportunities, websites and contact details

To ensure the Active Club Resource Pack is used effectively, playworkers are invited to attend Regional Tutor Training Days. To find out if there is a training day in your local area please contact Anna Chalkley at the BHF on 01509 228 263.

Exclusive to Active Club Tutors, the Let’s Get Active Participation Award is a simple and fun way to help children and young people get their 60 minutes activity a day. This innovative resource has been designed to be used in conjunction with your existing Active Club Resource Pack.
