What we do

  • We work with children, young people and their families to ensure access to locally based, joined up support from birth to 19.

  • We develop, shape and influence policy at the highest level.

  • We evaluate, adapt and develop best practice as part of national, regional and targeted local partnerships.

  • And we utilise this learning to deliver the highest quality, best value exemplar services to children and young people across the country.

4Children childcare, youth activities and family support services are delivered across more than 100 settings including nurseries, schools, children’s centres and RAF bases. And our range of national programmes focus on real support for children, young people and the practitioners who work with them.

We develop, influence and shape national policy on all aspects of the lives of children, young people and families. 4Children is co-founder of The Children’s Partnership, which is the Government’s voluntary sector strategic partner for children and families. The Partnership is leading and supporting the development of high quality sustainable support for children, young people and families through two way communication, policy advice and sector development.

We deliver quality improvement, training and strategic advice for both local authorities and practitioners, and other support can be found through our membership services and Information Helpline.
