All of it was very useful for different reasons but the workshop gave us all an opportunity of talking to colleagues and sharing good practice which is always helpful - Fiona Downing, Spencer Nursery School and CC

Thanks to everyone - a very useful day and lots to roll out and develop as a result of the information given - Carol Gibson, Bexley Council

The Journey to Outstanding will offer local authorities, Children’s Centres, nurseries and out of school clubs a unique opportunity to find out more about the new Ofsted inspection framework for early years settings and children’s centres. It will also offer the opportunity to look in more detail at delivering the revised EYFS framework and ways to improve quality.

With the new Ofsted inspection framework for Children’s Centres due to be finalised in the Autumn we are delighted that Wendy Ripley, the Principal Ofsted Officer who is drafting the new framework, will be speaking.

The aims of the day will be to:

  • Update delegates on the revised EYFS framework
  • Provide up to date information on the Ofsted inspection framework
  • Explore how to prepare for inspection within your particular type of setting
  • Give delegates the opportunity to share learning and network with other professionals
  • Share ideas about improving quality – and the journey to outstanding
  • Learn more about the support available to you to help you on that journey
