The Future of Early Years Education Conference 2014 - Excellence as standard

Wednesday 25 June 2014, Salford, Manchester

University of Salford

The last few years has seen a radical shake up of provisions, professionalisation and inspections across early years in the UK. Early Years 2014 has taken a new approach to inspire and empower childcare professionals to understand innovative ways to improve the development of children from birth to five.

Through keynote presentations, panel discussions, peer networking and focused breakout sessions at the conference you will have the opportunity to discover:

  • Insights into Early Years Educators and Early Years Teachers qualifications
  • The role of the new Tax-free Childcare scheme and extension of free care for 2 year olds
  • Examples of effective play and exploration activities to aiding social, emotional and physical development
  • Innovative ways to translate the EYFS curriculum in your care setting
  • Practical methods to have the best chance of a successful Ofsted inspection
  • Methods to market and promote your childcare provision effectively
  • Grants and funding options for those setting up new childcare businesses
  • Research clearly shows that good-quality early education does benefit children in the long term, particularly the most disadvantaged. The introduction of Early Years teachers (graduate) and Early Years educators (level 3) is one way that this is being addressed by supporting early years providers to ensure that those who work with babies and young children become increasingly skilled and professional.
