4Children comment on NAHT Childcare Bill report

08 September 2015

Commenting on the report released today by the National Association of Head Teachers, An Early Years Place for All: The NAHT Childcare Bill Report,” Imelda Redmond CBE, Chief Executive of 4Children said:

“We welcome the NAHT’s report calling for thorough consultation on the funding and delivery of the Government’s plan to double free childcare provision for three and four year olds.

“4Children fully supports the aspiration of this policy. Many working families are depending on the success of this policy in order to make work a financially viable option. Working with the public, private and voluntary sectors, Government needs to understand the financial and capacity related challenges that must be addressed to make this important pledge a success.”
