East Midlands Family Hero 2014 - Yemi Olowoyo

Yemi is described as a rock by those that know her, because she is always there whether to give advice, listen or simply be a shoulder to cry on. As well as in her personal life, Yemi helps though the voluntary organization she runs called the New Ark Foundation.

New Ark Foundation is focused on delivering high-quality services for health, education and social welfare of individuals and families who are black, dual heritage or migrant communities.

Yemi especially tries to focus her attention on the young people within the community and dedicates certain activities and sessions to help them. Yemi’s vision is to inspire generations to achieve their goals and be the best they can be.
