National Family Hero

Adam is 12 years old and at the age of 6 he donated bone marrow to his little sister Helen aged 3. Sadly Helen passed away. Helen’s twin brother Brian now aged 9 has a life limiting condition and Adam is always there for everyone and takes care of Brian.

Adam’s school work was badly affected after Helen died and also with Brian’s deterioration, he has worked exceptionally hard to catch up and is now at Grammar School getting into the top band in the year. Adam has come through so much and yet he continues to think of others at all times.

He is a carer for his brother and other than going out with other carers once a month, he is constantly caring for Brian.

Adam was also the winner for the Northern Ireland Award
