Managing Risk

Up to date risk management procedures are essential to ensure your setting is a safe and secure place for children, staff and other visitors. Providers must be able to demonstrate how they are managing risks.

Your risk management procedures should be part of a continuous process to prevent any dangerous incident taking place.  Risk management is not only checking that the premises and equipment are safe, but also making sure that safe behaviour and practises are being implemented.
